waiting
Here I am, talking to these walls again
Telling them my secrets
Hoping they won’t spill them on the floor
So I’d have to clean them
Because I’d leave them there for seasons
Hoping they’d go away on their own
Just like I did at eighteen with a silence
I became an island, desolate and isolated
So I sat there waiting, and waiting, and waiting
For change
Something different is bound to come
my way
But I’m so stuck in the same place I was
Yesterday
And everyday before that
Wishing that you'd come back
Don’t know what, day of the week it is
Trying hard to find some bliss
But I’m failing
Don’t have much to do, I’m not complaining
But at some point this train will be derailing
So I sit here waiting, and waiting, and waiting
So I sit here waiting, and waiting, and waiting
Still waiting, just waiting, I’m waiting
But waiting is changing nothing
I can’t keep on numbing
Stop waiting, and waiting, and waiting
For change
Nothing different will ever come my way
If I stay stuck in the same place I was
Yesterday
And everyday before that
Wishing for myself back
