stuck
Got a little wild,
Running through my mind
Harvesting what I had left
Of adolescent wiles
Now I’m stuck at the fault line
You’re far on the other side
Giving all I have
And getting nothing back
Just a barren land that
Withered at your command
And I’m holding onto crumbs
Fists becoming numb
How do I begin again?
When the only truth is: all ends
Spending all the time I have
On this brick in my hand
Trying to find a semblance of
The girl that I had been
A hopeful optimism
That’s slipped far out of my grip
Sleepwalking through my days
In a never ending maze
Of my own design
With twist and turns
That make me
Contort into another life
How do I get back?
Start anew, while stuck in this trap?
Time is
dragging on
I’m hanging on
To something that’s already gone
Again I do it
Again I lose it
So how can I just stop?
How do I move on?
