glass cleaner
Morning light through dirty window panes
Soft glow illuminating tiny mistakes
I fixate on
Cloth and glass cleaner with a little elbow grease
Return to its transparency
But I still see
The spots on the surface that won’t come out
Engraved and carved word of mouth
Spoke too soon
Reverberations of carefully constructed narratives
To each their own story, I am only a character
A villain
I stay firm in my own an anti-hero
The truth will never reveal itself
But each morning there is light
