morning alarm
Wayward winds in September
Unsettling change
Hear the rustle of the leaves
Nothing remains the same
In your absence unkindly
Reminders of a loss
Between top sheet and duvet
Turned and tossed
Pessimistic sounding of a morning alarm
Disrupts a dream of peace
So seldom thought
Hit snooze and drift back into the dark
Delayed decision making
No longer trusting self
Lies like dandelion
Blown and scattered about
Flecks unfathomable
Fingerprints all over
Each object in the museum
A home turned sour
Leaves its trace on everything
Layers of dust accumulated
Cannot bring myself to clean
This place become ruin
